Okay, actually a bunch of poems, and they're actually not on my knee but in my head, but yes, I'm off to my home state & neighboring Obama stronghold of Alabama (take that Massachusetts!) for a spoken word feature performance at the Florence, Alabama Poetry Slam up in the northwest part of the state.
If any Newshoggers live up that way -- Huntsville, Muscle Shoals, etc., etc., -- or attend UNA, hey man, c'mon out to Rivertown Coffee on N. Seminary St. at 7:30. I'm the one with dreadlocks and 30 minutes, and I guarantee to make you laugh. It's kind of what I do.
