Well here's a shocking change in tactics from the right: Dean Barnett, blogging at the Weekly Standard, says that the Des Moines Register editor who hosted the Republican debate yesterday, "should keep her day job".
This is truly monumental! Ordinarily, when a journalist does something that gets conservative pundits snippy, they scream for the destruction of that person's career. One can hope that Dean's dislike of Carolyn Washburn's moderating skills, coupled with his insistence that she remain in her journalistic post, signals a more civil future in dealing with disagreements over the media. But I doubt it.
