Outsourcing Oversight In Iraq?

By Cernig

It looks like the Army, very quietly, has decided to privatize the office of the Special Inspector general In Iraq. Smintheus has the details.

It strikes me that if you wanted to get to the bottom of massive Iraqi corruption which also happens to involve tens of thousands of missing guns, hundreds of missing dollars and corrupt U.S. military officers as well as U.S. contractors, this would be exactly NOT the way you would go about it. Especially if the guy in charge of the money when the greatest heist in history was being perpetrated (partly by aides of his) was your current Saint of the Surge.

Maybe Congress should be asking some questions about this.
