Time to play with the pic upload widget, by way of a follow up to Shamanic's post below, via Reason Magazine, about the way the crazies of the religious Right are having a fit of pique over the ad for the Folsom Street Fair.
I fail, utterly, to see why folks like Andrew Sullivan are so upset. After all, parodies of the famous artwork are rife and none have yet brought a halt to the Christian faith.
Recently, the Catholic Church managed to get this one, an ad for clothing designers Marithe et Francois Girbaud, banned.
But how about a boycott on Lego?
Or MAD magazine?
And how about a bit of outrage directed at the wingnut's favorite channel, FOX?
Nope, the outrage is all about homophobia masquerading as religion, and Sully should be smart enough not to give a figleaf of cover for that motive.
