Light In Dark Places

By Cernig

Senator Jim Bunning (R-KY) is the man behind a secret hold on HR 1255, the Presidential Records Act Amendments of 2007. The bill would overturn an outrageous Bush Executive Order that would keep presidential records hidden from public view indefinitely and even passes control of those documents to the president's heirs, in a flagrant executive usurpation of the principles of the Presidential Records Act. The bill was sponsored by Waxman in the House (passed 333 to 93) and Lieberman (!) in the Senate. It has sailed through the Senate Committee on Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs but now Bunning has brought its passage to a halt.

Can someone out there in the mainstream media please ask the senator to explain his reasons for this hold - or otherwise admit he's a White House sockpuppet masquerading as representative of the people?
