Where's the Bush Doctrine Now?

by shamanic

Following up on Echidne: if al-Qaeda is now as strong as it's been since 9/11 and we know (and I think we do) that al-Qaeda's leadership is hiding on the western edge of Afghanistan Pakistan and we consider our threat level at this time to be substantial then WHY ARE WE TALKING ABOUT IRAN EVERY DAY?

Hey Mr. Strong Leader-Get Them Before They Get Us-Decider Guy: when do we start bombing Waziristan? If an impending al-Qaeda attack doesn't trigger the Bush Doctrine, what in God's name would?
