GOP Scandals Tip Of The Iceberg?

You have to check out the work some posters at Daily Kos have been doing. I mean really have to! (Hat Tip - Ken Anderson at the UnCapitalist Journal.)

Here's the allegation in summary: that the Duke Cunningham scandal goes much deeper than just the $2.4 million in bribes being reported by the media. That various companies connected with Cunningham, all owned by the Wilkes Corporation, are just fronts for GOP money redirection. That these companies were given millions, especially earmarked for them by GOP members of both Congress and Senate, for Department of Defense contracts that didn't ever get done. That the money from those contracts was then given, often by circuitous routes, as campaign donations to various GOP luminaries, for TV ads, etc. GOP names implicated in receiving this money, stolen from the taxpayers, include Henry Bonilla, Roy Brown, Rick Clayburgh, Duke Cunningham (of course!), John T. Doolittle, Maria Guadalupe Garcia, George W. Gekas, Lindsay Graham, Duncan Hunter, Darrell Issa, Samuel Johnson, Thaddeus G. McCotter, Constance Morella, Devin Nune, Steve Pearce, Bill Van de Weghe Jr., Jerry Weller, Tom DeLay, Dick Cheney and even George W. Bush. The bloggers have ammassed some very convincing evidence that Cunningham's charges to date are only the very tip of an extremely dirty iceberg.

The amount, according to blog "Mad Cow Morning News", is around $700 million over the course of several years.
