NATO Isn't Dead Yet

Well worth a read, Matt Dupuis at Foreign Policy Watch looks at the evolving nature of NATO and its missions since the end of the first Cold War (Bush and Putin having managed to start a second one) and concludes, despite much mouthbreathing on the subject from various pundits, that NATO "is only dead if we let it become so."
