Saw it in the funny papers

By Libby

I'm a huge fan of cartoon art in general and political cartoonists in particular. My lifelong favorites are Oliphant and Toles, but Tom Tomorrow is definitely in the top five. He posts a razor sharp exclusive strip at the HuffPo today that just slices the wrong-wing pundits to shreds. He collected quotes of the leading Bush loyalists from the beginning of the occupation of Iraq. My favorite:
There is certain amount of pop psychology in America that the Shia can't get along with the Sunni... there's almost no evidence of that at all. Bill Kristol - appropriately on April Fool's Day of 2003.

The best quote by Cal Thomas was too long for a single panel and you really should click over to read it in full as he lectured the left in 03 for their doubts in the face of assured victory, but here's the money graf.
All of the printed and voiced prophecies should be saved in an archive. When these false prophets again appear, they can be reminded of the error of their previous ways and at least be offered an opportunity to recant and repent.
I join Mr. Tomorrow in awaiting the recanting and repenting to begin. Meanwhile, I found Chris Muir's strip offensive, but not because of the blackface.
