On Wednesday night a transformer near my home blew and took a buried power-cable with it. They finally reconnected power just now.
Almost two days without power - and more importantly, air conditioning - during a Texas summer. The heat index today was 115 degrees. This part of the world is almost uninhabitable if you don't have power.
Phew.
Anyway, I'm back. I'm going to enjoy a cooked meal, a warm bath and some cold air. Normal service will be resumed tomorrow. Thanks for waiting.
