Good News For London Bombing Victims Fund

The fund set up by London Mayor Ken Livingston and the Red Cross has reached 6.3 million pounds. The latest large donation was one of 300,000 pounds from the British-based charity Islamic Relief Worldwide.

Livingstone welcomed the donation by Islamic Relief Worldwide.

"It is wonderful news that this and other donations have pushed the total past the 6 million pound mark which will enable us to help many people so appallingly afflicted by the terrorist attacks," he said.

"This great gesture by Islamic Relief underlines the fact that the more terrorists try to divide us the more we unite."

The president of the Islamic charity said it was vital the country stayed united.

"We must learn to share the response equally and work more effectively to save our children from all forms of extremism," Hany El-Banna said. "We must be united in heart, in thought and in action."

I wonder if USS:Neverdock will even report this, or whether if it does it will try to twist the news with it's own form of bitter extremism and bigotry?

The website where you can donate to the London Bombings Relief Charitable Fund yourself is here. As far as I know you won't find that link on USS:Neverdock either...
