Who would have predicted a year ago that at this point in the primaries we would be interested in Maine caucus results? Certainly not the consultants and 'serious' pundits of the elite media. Truthfully, neither did I and they really are interesting. It appears Obama will win by a more than a comfortable margin. The split on the votes is especially telling. The trend in the unverified raw data I saw somewhere that broke it down into towns showed that where Clinton won, she won narrowly whereas Obama's wins were overwhelming. Clearly the man has got the big 'Mo.
The shakeup at Hillary's campaign merely confirms it. Her campaign director stepped down and her long time Arkansas aide de camp will step up to run the show. I don't think it's going to help. This race isn't about organization anymore. It's about inspiration and Obama's fresh faced fervor is generating an excitement that defies all conventional wisdom.
