The polls showed considerable tightening in the race in Wisconsin, but the balloting was pretty much a blowout. It appears -- I stress "appears", as making predictions in this race so far has proved utterly pointless -- that Democrats are coalescing around Obama, and those polls that have been consistently wrong show tightening races in Ohio and Texas.
I think that paragraph is full of enough caveats to make the following question one that we can really discuss:
Is Barack Obama now the presumptive nominee for the Democratic Party in 2008?
