This is really horrible. A blogger in China was beaten to death by the local authorities for filming the police response to a citizen protest. The chatrooms in China are filled with outrage and expressions of concern abound.
The incident has also alarmed advocates of press freedom, who say municipal authorities had no right to attack a man for simply filming them.They're surely right about that. Good thing we live in a free country where such outrageous suppression of civil rights never occurs. Oh, wait.....
And people wonder why I speculate on the coming police state of America?
