Having spent this decade being pummeled, marginalized, and called "unpatriotic" among other things, Democrats are indeed fired up about their candidates and their prospects for regaining control of the bully pulpit of the White House. But the term "enthusiasm gap" is simply idiotic, and I hope Carl Hulse can find less short-handy ways of writing about the parties' voter engagement in the future.
