I'm not sure how I got on this list but I just got an email from Jane Hamsher and Matt Stoller and it seems to me they have the most practical response to the recent attempts by the smear machine to kill SCHIP by attacking the Frosts. They're ignoring the hatemongers and going straight for the lowly Bush Dogs that voted against the bill. Through ActBlue, they've developed an ad campaign targeting Bush Dog Jim Marshall of Georgia for supporting Bush's veto.
Frankly, I've only recently warmed up to the Blue America PAC. In the beginning I was a bit suspicious that it was going to turn out to be just another special interest group designed to prop up the status quo but this sort of targeted action against turncoat Democrats seems to be exactly what's needed if we're ever going to rescue the party from those who betray the principles it used to stand for.
If you have the cash, throw some their way to get the ad published. If you don't have the bucks, then please at least spread the word. The only way to fix the big problems in our political system is to take it one step at a time and this is clearly a step in the right direction for the left.
