In case you missed the further developments on the fake FEMA press conference... As I noted the other day, one of the key players in that fiasco, Pat Philbin, announced he was resigning and moving to another plum post with the Intelligence Dept. As I said in my Detroit News post on this, time was when this would have been a two sentence blurb inside the WaPo and passed unnoticed, but bloggers picked up the item and the next day, Director of National Intelligence Mike McConnell said Philbin doesn't have the job anymore.
Not only that, he's not on the Medal of Freedom list either. I believe this may the first time incompetence didn't pay in this administration. |
