You need a scorecard to keep up with the comings and goings -- most goings -- of the GOP these days. In the latest developments, rumor has it Brownback will be walking away from the primary race. Oddly, with his conservative creds, you would think he'd be a frontrunner but it seems he simply can't collect enough money to stay in the game.
Meanwhile, it looks like Denny Hastert is going to leave office early. A spokesman suggests that he's simply tired of being a Congressman but inquiring minds are speculating that in Denny's case, it may be he was collecting a little too much money and other goodies under the table. Recent revelations in the ongoing corruption scandal that took down Duke Cunningham would lend much credence to that theory.
Shockingly, the liberal media haven't been able to connect those dots. Maybe the bloggers should chip in and buy them a new box of crayons.
