Our politics really doesn't. We've become something of a dour country, truth be told, all ready to be offended by anything and everything, and skittish about edginess and colorful humor.
It's a shame, because probably we'd be better off with more punning goofballs in politics who seem to be deriving actual joy from harmless silliness. I say, you go with your zany self Mr. Caragol! If I lived in Hialeah county, you'd get my vote. I might even watch the council sessions on TV for more of your zingy one-liners. Keep the weirdness coming, sir, and good luck to you!
