Mandela still alive after embarrassing Bush remark Here's what our our heedless leader had to say while displaying his command of the roots of violence in Iraq at his latest presser. "I heard somebody say, Where's Mandela?' Well, Mandela's dead because Saddam Hussein killed all the Mandelas," Bush, who has a reputation for verbal faux pas, said in a press conference in Washington on Thursday. You have to wonder which brilliant consultant wrote that speech. Anyone else suspect that Bush has no idea who Nelson Mandela is, much less what he did?
