I don't see enough live music because I don't know where to look for good acts. However a friend clued us into a great singer/songwriter, Joy Ike, who was opening up for the Metropolitans at Club Cafe last night on the Southside. She has a sultry voice, and well composed, multi-layered songs, but I really enjoyed listening to the Metropolitans for the first time last night. They are a swing/pop/hard rock act, about 50% swing, 25%pop and 25% hard rock. I'll need to see them again. Here is their MySpace page.
Now if anyone can tell me how to get their songs over here, I would appreciate that.
