NYT Public Editor - "What Blogs?"

Today the NY Times public editor, Clark Hoyt, published an article that vindicated every blogger who had written about how the mainstream media were tamely falling into line behind the new Bush administration practise of describing every insurgent in Iraq as Al Qaeda. And he did it without mentioning a single one of the bloggers who had pressured and pubicized that fact until he had to take notice.

Still, the important thing is he did write his admission - although as Glenn Greenwald notes, the NYT's Michael Gordon & Co. are still at their stenography.
