Snarkin' on a Sunday afternoon...
After saying occupation forces could leave anytime they want, I see Maliki's likely had a phonecall from the White House and has been told "get back on message or you've no seat on the last helicopter!"
Larissa on a trip on the National Review's Ship of Fools with Johann Hari.
If the WaPo's editorial Bushevik shill writes an article praising another Bushevik shill's study which sets out to prove that Bush isn't overly secretive - its good to know Glenn Greenwald will be there to debunk the spin.
Pope Kristol proclaims in a bull (well, a bull-something) that Petreaus is really the pro-war Messiah (and will now hold a place in the pantheon alongside Bush as father and Cheney as holy Ghost). Mind You, Billy proclaims a lot of bulls and they often contradict previous bull he's proclaimed.
Iran? What about Saudi Arabia? That's where the foreign bad guys in Iraq mostly come from. Maybe Iran should drop a few billion into the Bush and Cheney piggy-banks too.
Lastly didn't I tell you Malloch Brown's appointment to the UK cabinet was a landmark? He says that the UK and the United States will no longer be "joined at the hip" on foreign policy. No more poodles.
