Steve Benen is right, this is freaking funny.
Despite extremist Republican rumblings about immigration policy being a code for a quiet invasion, the California Republican Party has decided to hire a Canadian citizen, Christopher Matthews, as their state deputy political director. He has been hired by another immigrant - Michael Kamburowski, the state GOP’s chief operations officer, is an Australian citizen.
Matthews is being hired under the H-1B visa program, which is designed to focus on “specialized workers” whose unique skills are unavailable in the American workforce...Like competently running the Republican Party.
If evidence is required that such skills are unavailable in the US, the two appointees can always cite the last six years.
