The House has passed a non-binding resolution 246-182 which voices support for U.S. troops but opposes Bush's decision to send an additional 21,500 troops to Iraq. (Reuters here, AP here)
I'd just like to say to Congress...nice work. Congratulations. I'm especially happy that 17 Republicans rejoined the American people.
But Bush has already said you can pass all the non-binding crap you want, just don't dare to try de-funding his misadventure in Mess-opotamia.
So now what?
Will you blink?
Update The "Victory Caucus" (Board of Governors: Dean Barnett, Austin Bay, Matthew Currier Burden, Frank Gaffney, Hugh Hewitt, Ed Morrissey, "Publius" and "Joe Gish" - I kid you not) has helpfully published contact details for the 17 Republicans who rejoined the human race today (please take a moment to thank all 17) as well as the two dissenting Dems. They are also already talking about funding primary challengers for the 17 - a step the NRO is fully on-board with by the looks of it.
