The Foley Coincidence

If you can prove that the House leadership knew of the perverts activities back then, then they should all go to jail.

But there is not one shred of evidence that they knew – and ... most everyone thought that there was nothing dangerous there.
(Rick Moran, in his own comments section.)

Do you believe that such a massive scandal, with all the ingredients needed to utterly overwhelm the news cycle yet with everything needed for plausible deniability from everyone but Foley himself, just happened to break the day after the passing of the most controversial and authoritarian bill in American history? When there were sniffs of a story almost a year ago?

This may be a big story - one that confirms yet again that pedophiles are adept at working the system to prevent their own activities coming under suspicion - but it will essentially leave every other Republican untouched. Still, its being chased like a red rag in front of bulls. The timing couldn't be better from a GOP point of view because it will help dilute the message that they are the party, perhaps not of sexual perverts, but certainly of torturers and constitution-perverters. That message would hurt them far more than the Foley frou-frou.

Coincidence?
