Kentucky Plane Crash - Not A Scary Enough Story?

This morning at 6am a Comair commuter jet taking off for Atlanta crashed just past the runway and burst into flames, killing 49 people. There was one survivor.
The crash was the country's worst domestic airplane accident in nearly six years.

Lexington police spokesman Sean Lawson said investigators were looking into whether the plane took off from the wrong runway. FAA spokeswoman Laura Brown said the agency had no indication at all that terrorism was involved.
My sympathies and condolences go out to the families.

I just had a look at Technorati for the keyword "Comair". Exactly one major poliblog has mentioned the story - the Moderate Voice gets kudos for a roundup of all the links to news reports.

Yet this is the worst domestic air accident in six years.

With six hours lead on a major story, you would normally see dozens of major blog posts on the subject. If there had been any mention of an Asian man anywhere in the reports, the rightwingers would be all over it by now - by their hundreds.

What's wrong guys? Is it that phrase "no indication at all that terrorism was involved"? No way to spin this one for political points? Where's the simple post showing some human empathy?

Shabby.
