Kevin Drum, the Political Animal, celebrated his fourth year of blogging today. Congratulations, Kevin!
Political Animal was the first political blog I read regularly and it is still one of my essential daily reads. I've always admired the way he actually produces content that isn't just punchpost linking to other writers who do all the hard work for a fraction of the content and manages to think for himself rather than simply toeing the most common (extreme) denominator of his party's line.
I suppose I've subconsciously tied to blog that way too - which kinda makes Newshog one of his "blog offspring" as the rightwinger bloggers like to term it.
Does that mean I can ask for palimony, Kevin? 'Cos I'm broke, dude!
