We may not agree on very much at all in politics but today I gained another measure of personal respect for Captain Ed of the Captain's Quarters blog.
He took the time to congratulate two leftwing bloggers, Glenn Greenwald of Unclaimed Territory and John Arvosis of AmericaBlog - the first for hitting No1 on the Amazon bestsellers list with his new book "How Would A Patriot act?" and the second for being instrumental in getting legislation passed that protects everyones phone records from casual snoopers.
Well done indeed to both Glenn and John and a well done too to Ed for his greatness of spirit in acknowledging their successes as being good news for all bloggers.
(Its a pity, Ed, that the first commenter on your post mangled Glenn's standpoint so thoroughly that it is obvious he has never read a single thing Glenn has written firsthand and has instead relied on the second-hand snarking of others.)
