Urging Sen. Chafee to support the Darfur Accountability Act

From Tas at Loaded Mouth:

Here's the deal: A horrible genocide has been going on in Darfur, Sudan, for the past three years. 400,000 have died, millions more have become refugees, things aren't getting better and the world community hasn't done squat about it.

Right now in the Senate Foreign Relations Committee, there's a bill called the Darfur Peace and accountability Act. It's stuck, not moving.

Senator Chafee is a member of the Foreign Relations Committee. Some students at Brown, who formed a Darfur Action Network, have launched a letter writing campaign, asking people to email Sen. Chafee's office and ask him to support the Darfur Accountability Act. I know that sending emails to Chafee won't solve much of anything, but if we can get his attention focused on Darfur, then that's a small victory in a war where our side doesn't have many victories.

To help out this cause, I've setup an email form on Loaded Mouth so it would only take people a couple of seconds to email Chafee.

Use it. Spread it. Please?

You got it, Tas.
