Congratulations, Governors

The Democrat candidates in both Virginia and New Jersey gubernatorial campaigns appear to have won fairly handily.

Kaine had 860,719 votes, or 51 percent, to Kilgore's 789,273 votes, or 46.8 percent, with 88 percent of precincts reporting.

In New Jersey, Democratic Sen. Jon Corzine trounced Doug Forrester, pulling in 54 percent of the vote to the Republican's 42.8 percent, with 55 percent of precincts counted. Corzine had 605,915 votes, and Forrester had 480,477.

I'm sure my friend Mr. M will be celebrating tonight.

Meanwhile, in Texas, it looks like three out of four voters agree with the KKK that there should be a constitutional ban on same-sex marriages.

Mr. M may well be right when he says this election in Virginia was a sign of things to come - that the Dems can retake the South eventually - but there's still a lot of work to do down here in The Theocratic Texan Republic of Jesustan.
