Obviously today's big news is the nomination of Harriet Miers for the Supremes. Her main qualification seems to be that she (hearts) George W. A lot of conservatives(here, here, here and here) are pissed but Harry Reid is happy. What worries me is that James Dobson is happy too. I'm waiting for the other shoe to drop. Thing is, even if it drops the Dems are already well into the bridge-burning phase.
Update Is this the other shoe? MichNews, home of wingnuttery galore, says Miers is a pro-life evangelist. That would explain why Dobson is so overjoyed with Bush's pick - but Reid?
