Bush Chickens, Flies Home To Squawk

Georgie has sunk to an all-time low.

From Reuters:

After returning from the [G8] summit on Friday, Bush visited the British Embassy in Washington and signed a book of condolence and laid a wreath in front of the ambassador's residence.

Bush said the London attacks were a reminder of the "evil" of the Sept. 11 attacks and underscored that the United States and its allies were fighting a "global war on terror."

"We will stay on the offense, fighting the terrorists abroad so we do not have to face them at home," Bush said.

The U.S. president warned Americans to stay vigilant.

"While we have no specific credible information suggesting an imminent attack in the United States, in light of the bombings in London, we have raised the threat level from elevated to high for our passenger rail, subway, and bus systems," Bush said.

"I urge all Americans to remain alert, and to report any suspicious activity to your local authorities," he said.

What a cowardly, mealy-mouthed git.

It might have meant something to Londoners and to us Brits in general if you had the guts to go to London while you were in the fucking UK and lay a wreath there, George!

Instead, you wait till you are home safe to make your gesture and then give us the "fighting them abroad" shit again. Do you have any idea how that sounds to your allies across the pond?

Oh, and toss in a bit of homegrown baseless fear-mongering while you are at it. If Georgie-porgie is scared then we better raise the alert level. Sickening.

Remind me never again to use the words "President" and "Bush" in the same sentence. I would love to respect the Office but I no longer have even a shred of respect for the man who occupies it.

As a Briton I am not only insulted, I am disgusted by this display from a craven coward who talks big but hasn't even the balls to go where the action was.

Londoners should send their white feathers care of the White House.
