This Weeks UPC Challenge

The "Gravitational Pull-Up" from the Unpaid Pundits this week is:

In your opinion, what segment of society or culture or the economy is in greatest need to be reached by political blogs at this time?

And you know, it's strange but every single fellow UPC member who has posted their opinion so far concentrates on some segment of the American populace.

Yet the answer stares them in the face all this time - the Third World is the segment of the World's culture that most needs to be reached by political blogs. Because while Americans from left and right waste their energies on the latest Dean scream or Keyes shriek, these people are dying in their thousands of starvation, war and disease. If the bloggers spoke to them then the politicians and the public would be more inclined to take notice.

Damn sure, if enough of them had blogs of their own or advocates in their midst blogging on their behalf, it would be harder to ignore them and pretend they don't exist.
