The good news - 64 senior Sunni clerics in Iraq have urged their folowers to join the Iraqi police, to prevent the police force falling into "the hands of those who have caused chaos, destruction and violated the sanctities".
The bad news - however, the group also told Sunnis not to help foreign troops against their own countrymen.
